The European Drosophila Research Conference (EDRC) is the main scientific conference for the European fruit fly research community. It takes place every two years in a European city and draws between 600 and 800 delegates from all over the world. After Barcelona (2013), Heidelberg (2015), London (2017), Lausanne (2019), Lyon (2023), the 2025 edition will take place at the ADDA auditorium (https://addaalicante.es/en/) in Alicante, Spain.
The EDRC covers many Drosophila research topics, including evolution, development, neurobiology, immunology, metabolism, and cancer research. It serves as the key platform for scientific communication in Europe.
